Holly Ryerson Dahlman, M.D.
is a board-certified internal medicine physician and a member of the
American College of Physicians. From the Midwest originally, she
settled here in Baltimore after graduating from the Johns Hopkins
University School of Medicine. She trained as an Osler House
officer at the Johns Hopkins Hospital before entering private practice.
She is the founding member of Green Spring Internal Medicine, LLC.
The practice, a Level 3 PCMH, has won three national awards for
innovative approaches using EHR to improve hypertension control.
Dr. Dahlman has given national talks on this topic. She is
co-chair of the Performance Improvement Workgroup for Aledade, a
consortium of independent practice ACOs throughout the US. She is
passionate about improving healthcare delivery. Her hobbies
include cooking, hiking and travel.

Deanna
Shapiro, PA-C is our Physician
Assistant who has worked in health research crisis management
since her graduation from Colorado College in 1996. She is a proud
graduate of Towson-CCBC Physician Assistant Program, class of 2014. Her
passions include equitable health care access here in the United States
and across the globe. She has volunteered as a health care provider for
rural communities in Ethiopia and Nepal. Next year, she hopes to take
an Emergency & Disaster Preparedness Course led by the Israeli Defense
Forces Medical Corps. Deanna has a keen interest in the visual and
performing arts. Here at the practice, Deanna has spearheaded home-based
transition of care visits, reducing the risk of hospital readmission for
homebound elders and person living with disability.
Shannon
is a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Certified Phlebotomy
Technician (CPT). She has been with the practice since 2014. She serves
as our Care Coordinator, assisting the Care Manager in coordinating care
for high risk patient’s. Shannon is also the OSHA Officer for the
practice. You can find her in the front or back office performing both
clerical and clinical tasks. When not at work she enjoys spending time
with her Fiancé and two daughters.
Ashleyis
our Medical Office Assistant. She joined the practice in 2012 after
Graduating from Fortis Institute of Towson with high honors. She can be
seen at the front desk checking patients in and out. She is an integral
part of our team as she also supports the medical assistants, handles
daily accounting, medical records and does many administrative tasks.
She monitors operations and keeps things organized to ensure patient
flow runs smoothly. When not being amazing at her job, Ashley enjoys
just hanging out with her family and watching football.
Juwanna is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), she joined the
practice in 2019. You can find Juwanna at the front desk or assisting
patients. She serves as our Transition of Care coordinator, identifying
ED visits, Admissions & Discharge’s from the hospital. In her free time,
she volunteers for Remote Area Medical (RAM), a major nonprofit provider
of free mobile clinics. She is also studying Healthcare Management at
Maryville University
Abimbola
(Abby) is a trained Physician, who received her
training and license in Nigeria. She has over 6 years’ experience in
clinical medicine, research and healthcare management. She also recently
obtained a master’s degree in Regulatory Affairs from the University of
Maryland, Baltimore. She currently works as the Clinical Care &
Operations Manager. She is passionate about patient care and
comprehensive follow up of patient’s in-between office visits. She also
assists the CEO in the daily smooth operation of the practice.
Ebony is a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). She
joined the practice in 2019 and can be seen assisting patients in the
back and front office. She serves as our Outreach Coordinator,
organizing & executing registries. Ebony is working towards entering the
nursing program at Howard County Community College. When not at work she
enjoys spending time with her son & young daughter.
Chandra
Brown - Elder Nurse Care Manager, Chandra, is an RN with over a
decade of experience. She holds a BS in Psychology and Sociology from
Florida A&M University and worked several years in the nonprofit sector
through AmeriCorps, training and supervising community health workers.
This gave her a first-hand learning experience on the impact of social
determinants, emotional intelligence, and trauma-informed care. After
serving for 3 years she answered her hearts calling to become a
registered nurse through the CCBC. Chandra has an affinity for
wholistic, patient-centered care with a relaxed relational approach.
Rebecca - Population Nurse Care Manager, Rebecca, joined the
practice in 2019. She is a registered nurse, a graduate from Towson
University’s BSN program. She has over six years of combined experience
working on medical-surgical, orthopedic, geriatric and stroke units in
Northwest Baltimore. Rebecca is highly interested in helping patients
maintain health and wellness while preventing disease.
